We are please to announce the addition of two new therapists to our practice. Andrew Elman, LPC, NCC and Kristen McDuffee, LCSW. Andrew and Kristen both specialize in children, family, adult and adolescent counseling. They are in the process of becoming In-Network providers with insurance panels.

We are moving to a new office beginning November 29th, 2011. The office is located at Peakway Market Square on the corner of West Williams Street (Highway 55) and Apex Peakway. It is across the street from Wake Med-Apex. Enter the building at the central breezeway and take either the stairs or elevator to the second floor. We are located at the top of the steps. Suite 231-P. We are excited for this next step and appreciate your patience as we make this transition.

News Release- Kyle Kornbau earns National Certified Counselor Credential
Kyle M Kornbau LPC, of Holly Springs, NC has attained certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, INC (NBCC). Currently in private practice at Stonebridge Counseling located at 307 South Salem Street in Apex, NC (www.SBcounseling.com), Kornbau joins more than 40,000 NCCs who are certified through NBCC.
NBCC, located in Greensboro, NC, is the largest national counselor credentialing organization in the United States. National Certification promotes professional accountability and ensures that consumers’ Rights are protected through the NBCC Code of Ethics. As a newly designated NCC, Kornbau has fulfilled the requirements for the CC credential. Those requirements include a graduate degree in counseling from a regionally accredited institution, supervised post-master’s counseling experience, and a passing score on the National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE).

Stonebridge Counseling is now accepting Life Synch insurance. Please call the office at 919-434-6398 to check your benefits and make sure that your specific plan is covered. We will also be accepting BCBSNC (Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of North Carolina) and Cigna Behavioral Health in the coming months. These plans are currently accepted as Out-of-Network. Call the office and check your specific benefits ( your In- and Out-of-Network cost may be very similar).
